If you’re a football fan in Kyoto, you may or may not have visited Sanga Stadium by KYOCERA in Kameoka which is the home to Kyoto Sanga F.C.. And if you visit there, you will dine at Football Diner because it’s the only place to kick off your sit-down dinner.

Football Diner is essentially a shokudo (食堂: Japanese traditional cafeteria) with the JapAmericanized interior that generates a modern and bonhomie, Japanese rest area vibe. It’s clean, safe, and family friendly. Food and drinks are cheap: 500 yen ($3.18) for a beer with snacks, 150 yen ($0.95) for a cup of coffee, and also 500 yen ($3.18) for a hearty bowl of udon noodles.
