Opened in 2011 in Japan’s comedy capital Osaka (大阪), Osaka Comedy Club (formerly ROR Comedy Club) is the longest-running English stand-up comedy club in Japan (as far as I know). If not, certainly the first and only in Osaka. Osaka Comedy Club (formerly ROR Comedy Club) offers 100% English showcases performed by professional stand-ups from all corners of the world (including Japan, shoutout to @ghcomedy81) and backgrounds. It seems that surprise drop-ins by local/international stars occur quite occasionally. When I was there on a random Wednesday, there was Malaysia’s famous stand-up Kavin Jay (who has his own Netflix special) smashing the crowd. And it was a regular price. Osaka Comedy Club (formerly ROR Comedy Club) is such a hidden gem.
